Start your review of Reading Henry James Mitchell McInnis rated it really liked it I'm a sucker for Louis Auchincloss, and I recognize he's an acquired taste. Still, his book The Embezzler /5. After 30 years of sporadic reading of Henry James, both his short stories and several of his novels, I still find it a daunting task.

Over a similar span of time I have admired the lucid prose of Louis Auchincloss. When I came across his short but informative survey of the works of Henry James, it was like swimming toward a by: Best of Henry James All Votes Add Books To This List.
